Well my friend sent me the link to the internet archive of all the old DOS games and I will confirm it's epicness.
Some games are tough to play because they're running "too fast" or the cursor doesn't match up.
But the most important thing ever is that you can play Street Rod 2.
This game is one of the major contributors to me becoming a car guy and obsessed with muscle cars. I sincerely encourage you to go check this game out! This game made me disappointed with so many car games in the future because they just weren't good enough . I mean, you literally wrench on the motor you don't just buy parts, you have to buy them, go back to the garage, pop the hood, take out some bolts and put them on (then bolt them back down). And even tune the car!
This is a DOS game from 1991 and it gets this in depth. I mean, the sound even changes when you tune it right. Different tires for better performance. Seriously, if you goof around on the internet today - go play this game! (Also when it asks you for a letter on a page of the manual, just type X and hit ok!) I recommend sticking to the drag racing btw!

Just a heads up, there's a cheat to get a ton of money in the game.
Buy a car.
Immediately attempt to sell it for what you bought it for.
Reject the first two offers without changing your price.
Change the price to $22100 and attempt to sell it for a third time. Someone will reply "I'll Take It!" immediately.
You can keep doing that over and over and end up with enough money to build anything.
